Festival Affiliate Program Terms
Version 1.4 · Effective Date: October 2, 2026
1. The Program and the Parties
These Festival Affiliate Program Terms (the "Agreement") are between Quilty, a business located in Los Angeles, California ("Quilty"), and the film festival, screenwriting organization, film school, or other organization approved to take part (the "Partner").
Any organization may apply at quilty.app/affiliates. Quilty reviews every application and may approve or decline it at its sole discretion. The Agreement takes effect when Quilty approves the application and the Partner signs or accepts this version in writing.
2. Partner Link and Member Code
On approval, Quilty gives the Partner:
- A unique landing page and link in the form
https://quilty.app/c/{partner}. - A unique member code (for example,
CARMEL15). - Suggested copy the Partner may share with its community.
The Partner may share the link and code with its own members, submitters, attendees, and audience through channels it controls.
3. Member Discount
Customers who arrive through the Partner's link or enter the Partner's code receive 15% off the purchase that first attributes them to the Partner. The discount applies once per customer, only to products with a list price of $29.99 or more, and does not combine with other Quilty discounts or offers.
4. Attribution
- 30-day window. A visit through the Partner's link sets a cookie that lasts 30 days. If the customer makes a qualifying purchase within that window, the purchase is attributed to the Partner.
- Last click wins before the first purchase. If a customer follows another partner's link before buying, the most recent link is used.
- Code beats cookie. A member code entered at checkout takes priority over any link cookie.
- Customer for life. Once a customer's first qualifying purchase is attributed to the Partner, that customer stays with the Partner for the life of this Agreement. Links or codes from other partners do not move an active customer.
- Six-month idle rule. If a customer has made no paid purchase or renewal for 180 days and then makes a qualifying purchase within 30 days of following a different partner's link (or using that partner's code), the customer moves to the new partner from that purchase onward. The same rule applies again later. A customer who returns after 180 days without a new link or code stays with their current partner.
- Existing customers. A person who has paid Quilty within the 180 days before following the Partner's link cannot be claimed by the Partner.
- No self-dealing. Purchases by the Partner, its staff, officers, or their household members do not earn commission.
Quilty's records decide attribution. Cookies can be blocked or cleared by the customer, and Quilty is not responsible for purchases it could not attribute.
5. Commissions
- First qualifying purchase: 30% of the product's list price, rounded to the nearest dollar. A qualifying purchase is a paid order for a product with a list price of $29.99 or more.
- Later purchases and renewals: 10% of the amount Quilty actually collects (after discounts, excluding taxes) on each later purchase or subscription renewal by an attributed customer.
- End of residuals. Commissions on later purchases stop when this Agreement ends.
| First purchase | List price | Member pays | Partner earns |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feature Film analysis | $49.99 | $42.49 | $15 |
| TV Pilot / series analysis | $39.99 | $33.99 | $12 |
| Stage Play analysis | $29.99 | $25.49 | $9 |
| 3-pack | $134.99 | $114.74 | $40 |
| 5-pack | $199.99 | $169.99 | $60 |
| Discovery membership, first month | $54.99 | $46.74 | $16 |
Prices shown are current list prices and may change. Products listed under $29.99 (for example, treatments) do not qualify as a first purchase.
6. Payment
- Commissions are paid monthly in US dollars by PayPal.
- Each commission is held for 30 days after the purchase to cover refunds.
- Payment is made once the payable balance reaches $50. Smaller balances roll forward.
- The Partner must provide a PayPal account and a completed IRS Form W-9 (or, for partners outside the United States, the equivalent tax form Quilty requests) before any payment.
- If a purchase is refunded or charged back, its commission is reversed. If the commission was already paid, Quilty deducts it from the next payment.
- The Partner is responsible for its own taxes on commissions.
7. Disclosure and Partner Conduct
The Partner must clearly disclose to its audience that it is a Quilty affiliate and may earn a fee when people buy. The Partner does not need to disclose the amount. Quilty's suggested copy includes a compliant disclosure.
The Partner will not:
- Bid on "Quilty" or similar terms in paid search, or use them in ad domains or handles.
- Buy fake, automated, or incentivized traffic, or offer prizes or rewards for clicks or signups.
- Send unsolicited messages or email people who have not agreed to hear from the Partner.
- Say or imply that Quilty is a festival jury, scores or selects films for the Partner, or guarantees selection, placement, or representation.
- Combine its member code with other Quilty offers or publish it on coupon sites.
- Make claims about Quilty that Quilty has not approved.
8. Category Exclusivity and Brand Use
During this Agreement, the Partner will not promote another AI screenplay analysis or script coverage service as its analysis partner. The Partner may describe Quilty as the "Official analysis partner of [Partner name]."
Each party may use the other's name and logo only to promote the program, and only in the forms the other party approves. Quilty may show the Partner's name and logo on the Partner's landing page.
9. Customer Data
Quilty does not share customers' personal information with the Partner. Program reports are aggregate (visits, customers, purchases, and commissions). Customers' scripts and analyses remain confidential under Quilty's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
10. Term and Termination
- Either party may end this Agreement with 30 days' written notice.
- Quilty may suspend or end the Agreement immediately if the Partner breaks these terms. Commissions earned through prohibited conduct are void.
- When the Agreement ends, the Partner's link and code stop working, commissions already earned and not reversed are paid on the normal schedule (the $50 minimum is waived for the final payment), and no further commissions accrue.
11. Relationship, Warranties, and Liability
The parties are independent contractors. Nothing in this Agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship. The program is provided "as is." Except for payment of earned commissions, each party's total liability under this Agreement is limited to the commissions paid or payable in the 12 months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. The Partner will indemnify Quilty against claims arising from the Partner's promotions or breach of this Agreement.
12. Changes
Quilty may update these terms by giving the Partner 30 days' notice by email. Continued participation after that date means the Partner accepts the update. Changes do not reduce commissions already earned.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
