"The Man from U.N.C.L.E." succeeds where "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" fails Big Guy Ritchie fan here. The tone of Man from Uncle was just so good. The "too good for school" bravado of the main characters made sense. Because the world was believable. It was gritty, so the silliness worked. It was all about the balance. Whereas, Ministry of warfare was just an unbearably light hearted comedy that did a disservice to the very premise of the story. Nothing felt dangerous.
